Ind. Courts - "Randolph officials to discuss courthouse"
A brief item in the Munice Star-Press today announces:
WINCHESTER -- Randolph County officials will restart the discussion of what to do with the aging courthouse Saturday during a special joint meeting of both the county council and board of county commissioners. * * *In June 2005, after more than a year of discussion, the Randolph County Board of Commissioners voted 2-1 to demolish the three-story courthouse, which was building in 1875-77.
After much controversy -- over an issue that appeared to impact the outcome of races in last year's county election -- the decision to tear down the building was rescinded.
