Ind. Courts - "The Indiana Commission on Judicial Qualifications has recommended that a La Porte County judge who was indicted Thursday with a felony be suspended from her job with pay"

The Indiana Commission on Judicial Qualifications has recommended that a La Porte County judge who was indicted Thursday with a felony be suspended from her job with pay, a spokeswoman for the Indiana Supreme Court said Friday.Kathryn Dolan said Judicial Qualifications Commission has filed a notice of indictment in the case of La Porte County Judge Jennifer Evans Koethe, and has recommended that she be suspended with pay until further order of the Supreme Court or until there is a final determination of disciplinary proceedings that may result from the indictment. * * *
Dolan said the Supreme Court is working "as quickly as possible" to make a decision about whether to suspend Koethe from her job.
